Located deep in Northwestern Ontario, the Red Lake Mining Complex is a large-scale mining project featuring four custom-engineered Norsteel Rigid Frame buildings. Designed to support the critical operations of a remote mining site, each structure was tailored to meet the demanding conditions and logistical challenges typical of northern resource-based developments.
All four buildings were designed with a single-slope roof system to optimize drainage and structural efficiency. Spanning a variety of functions—from re-agent processing to grinding, CIL (carbon-in-leach) operations, and air compression—each structure plays a vital role in the site’s production flow and infrastructure.
This complex showcases Norsteel’s capacity to deliver tailored steel building systems in some of the most remote and challenging regions of the country—ensuring durability, functionality, and long-term performance for mission-critical industrial applications.
