Viola Custom Industrial Facility

This 61′ x 65′ industrial steel building was custom-engineered for VIOLA Ready-Mix in Milton, Ontario, to accommodate challenging site conditions and existing infrastructure. With a single-slope roof and eave heights ranging from 30′ to 42′, the structure was designed around shipping containers, concrete silos, and uneven site conditions that made a standard building configuration impractical.

Using detailed 3D modelling technology, Norsteel developed a customized building envelope to work around the site’s existing structures. The design incorporates three custom roof canopies positioned around the shipping containers, along with R20 single-layer blanket insulation in both the roof and walls.

This project highlights Norsteel’s ability to address complex industrial building requirements through practical engineering and customized design. By adapting the structure to the site’s unique conditions, the team delivered a solution that integrates with the existing infrastructure while meeting the operational needs of VIOLA Ready-Mix.
